About Me
Amber Lane, LMSW, MSSW
Amber Lane is an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native and recently transitioned to Houston, Texas. Amber is truly passionate about mentoring and helping other aspiring social workers. Amber earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work at Kentucky State University in 2011. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work at the University of Louisville in 2015. Amber earned her LMSW (Licensed Masters Social Work) in 2017 and has 7 years of experience in the social work field. Amber began her social work career in 2012, at the Cabinet for Health and Family Services in Covington, KY. She was an Investigative Social Worker, and she worked in the field for two years. Amber then transitioned to NorthKey Community Care, a nonprofit agency in Kentucky where she served as an Impact Service Coordinator and worked for the agency for one year. In 2015, Amber relocated to Edmond, Oklahoma and she transitioned her social work career to the health field. Amber was a licensed social worker at Integris Baptist Hospital and a licensed Clinician at Cedar Ridge Psychiatric Hospital. In 2018, Amber relocated to Houston, Texas. She is a Licensed Social Work Counselor at MD Anderson Cancer Center Hospital. This year Amber plans to obtain her LCSW, and she would like to open her own private practice for teen girls. Amber is the Founder and Executive Director of Knowing Your Worth Inc. 501(c) (3). A non-profit organization established in 2017. Amber has always believed, if she is able to help and change one young girl's life, then her duty was completed.
Amber is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In Amber's personal time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, friends and sorors. She also enjoys traveling, eating, reading, shopping and empowering other women.
